Our mission is to provide bicycles to people who need them. We repair and reuse bikes and parts whenever possible, but we can no longer act as a disposal service. The time and cost devoted to getting scrap metal and tires recycled has gone beyond what our facilities and volunteers can handle.
We Accept:
- Bicycles that are mostly complete.
- Bikes without major damage, rust, or neglect.
- Bicycle parts in good, working condition.
- Tire donations that are new or like new.
Donation Hours:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1:30–4:30 p.m.
- 2nd Saturday of each month, 1:30–4:30 p.m.
We Do Not Accept:
- Bicycles with:
- Damaged or bent frames
- Severe rust
- Missing major components
- Bikes we cannot reasonably repair.
- Some harder to sell road bikes (due to storage limits).
- Broken, worn out or damaged parts.
- Used, worn bicycle tires (check local tire recycling options).
Recycle Unusable Bikes or Parts Here:
- Arvada Recycling – (303) 423-4189 – 9630 Ralston Rd, Arvada
- Action Recycling Center – (303) 424-1600 – 7610 W 42nd Ave, Wheat Ridge
Thank you!
Our volunteers repair these bikes and make them available at affordable prices and for people in need, for free. Most of our donations are from generous individuals throughout the greater Golden-Arvada community. Many of our bikes have gone to the International Rescue Committee in 2022. Community support though these donations is amazing.
Special program for high value bikes (fair market value of $500 or more): If you are trading up, cleaning your garage, or otherwise don’t need that bike, donate it to the program and transform lives. Our volunteers will tune it into top shape and we will market it as a premium bike for its fair value. Proceeds will go toward providing helmets and locks to people in need, parts, supplies, and shop operating costs. You will get a charitable tax deduction.
